Did a bit of low calorie snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Working and listening to Studs Terkel.

A third of a bowl left of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Dublin Sterling Canadian 264 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. I got John Brandt to make this for me. It’s not on the menu, but he’ll make you a batch if you ask.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Last smoke of the day is 2019 Prince Albert in a straight smooth walnut 1927 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 86 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This model was only made in 1927.

Morning coffee, Starbucks DR k-cup, some PA in a 1975 Savinelli 111. Great smoker

Off to a late start this morning. It'll get pretty warm later, but right now it's perfect here on the patio with a cup of Folger's Colombian, KBV Burley Morning Pipe in my Jansen's N.O. bent volcano with saddle stem, and a book to read.

Not so sure. My wife loves nature, the outdoors, and wildlife, especially birds. She would let me shoot a javelina since she knows they will attack our dogs. Lol.

Starting my day with Zippos recipe Tumbleweed in a Pete Pub and a big mug of fresh cowboy coffee. Like Eutychus it will be a warm day but right now a pleasant 60 on the patio with a slight breeze. Going to put out some wildflower seeds in our open area later this morning. Have a great day BoBs.

2nd bowl is CS Choctaw in a Pete system B42 smooth bent apple with more cowboy coffee. Quail coming in for breakfast, lol.

Half way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Did a set of walking reps in the heat and humidity, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Lunch follows this smoke. Just brought the scampers to their playpen in the den.

Me and Otis having some random tobacco in the Peter Kent. Otis thinks aromatics taste better in this pipe.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have a third of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy, neat, is my drink. Watching the Tigers-Cardinals game until the Braves-Mariners game starts at the bottom of the hour. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Now smoking and reviewing KBV Moriarty 221B 2024 in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer billiard with a black ferrule and vulcanite stem in the military mount style.

It has been a long pipe less day. I cleaned my three Petersons this am, because I wanted a bowl of C&D Steamworks today. Yesterday, I checked on a well stocked pipe shop for some leftover tins, as I'd seen them there not long ago. Alas, they are gone proving if you snooze you lose. This is my most cherished blend, and I am down to 1/2 a jar which is what is left of 4 ounces from WCC. This bowl is splendid in my Peterson standard system rusticated 302 with p-lip and packed using the Peterson method. Niw, it is a much better day today. Here also is a picture of a little buddy I met after my bowl yesterday.

After a number of errands and honey-dos I'm relaxing on the patio with Arango Balkan Supreme in my Barling Sovereign bent acorn with saddle stem. The tobacco was a bit dry when I bought it, so I dropped a humidifier disc in it. The flavor has improved, I think. Listening to the audiobook of Master and Commander.
