Drucquer & Sons (Jean Lacroix made)

While browsing Smokingpipes's sale on estate pipes, I spotted this Drucquer & Sons branded pipe and felt compelled to buy this lovely little smooth hexagonal panelled acorn with slightly bent vulcanite stem. It has a beautiful grain, and the gently curved panels are elegant. It made me feel nostalic for the time (late '80s) when I purchased my first pipes and tobaccos at the Drucquer & Sons shop in the Piedmont district of Oakland (the Berkeley shop was closed by then). I will dedicate the pipe to D&S Inns of Court. I look forward to my first smoke later today.
