Hello Bob,

I am trying to date this pipe and get any other information about the pipe.
The Jubile leads me to 1958 to celebrate 1908. Just a pseudo-SWAG no real info.
Thanks in advance for any help.

What I learned from Googling the subject, Jubile pipes were made three different times, and I couldn't find any information on how to accurately date them. Here's a quote that I found: "From Jim Lawson's "Smokeshop":The Jubilee Series was first offered in 1988 to commemorate the 140th anniversary of Butz-Choquin."

A nice French briar. I had a Butz as one of my first pipes, a large bulldog with a swirled cafe-au-lait acrylic stem. I miss it even twenty years later. Yours is a very nice understated pipe. I need to flesh-out my collection again, it is predominantly Italian, France looks more and more like a good place to start.

Thanks so much for the help. I've already learned a couple of important things.

I will have to keep shopping for a birth year pipe.

I shouldn't believe anyone about the date of a pipe without triple checking. And even then......

I now have a really nice pipe to put into my regular rotation instead of a couple of times a year. I'm going to go through the mason jars and find something nice to smoke in it. Today😁

Thanks again for helping me out with this.
