All this math is making my head hurt, I think we should just accept the fact that we are, for the most part, a bunch of old farts with a couple of kids along for the ride. No offense to anyone, young or old.

62 and just started. I'm on my tenth bowl.
If we get enough of you youngsters, you won't be outliers anymore.
My word! We've got some highly educated fellows in this group of pipe smokers.
I'm adding my own guesses here, I figure over 90% are in the baby boomer cohort, with 75% born between 1955 and 1960, with a select few in the Generation X cohort and a select few born before 1950.
So, that means a whole lot of us are enjoying social security retirement and Medicare benefits that the Gen X, Millenials, and Zoomers, (Gen Z), are paying for, that many of them believe they will never receive when and if they reach retirement age. That's tragic.
My own sons are of that opinion.

Generations change mid year and I don't have birth dates so I used 1946-1964 or those 60-78, they represent 43.5% of the reporting members. 1955-1960 is a subset of those members between 64 and 69 which includes 21.7% of members. Only 23 members have reported their age so far and you're not one of them, care to fess up?

I found a members I missed so the percentages are less, 21 and 42.

It appears that I am indeed the youngest member at the age of 30, with Gaius Marius proceeding me in birth and membership by a matter of days.
But, alas! Gentlemen, let not your heart be troubled by the beginning of any race that you are in;
Despite everyone having a (some quite sizeable) head start and jumping out to an early lead,

A whole lot of us have paid into our social security “required contract” for many years (my wife counts 49 years) and will likely never scratch the surface of the amount we’ve paid in in terms of benefits. I have no problem with that contract continuing for other current and future Americans. Things change over time so we’ll see what the future brings. I was also involved in the Lottery Draft which pushed me toward enlisting in the military. As Americans we are subject to a variety of options and responsibilities. I like guarantees…like if I commit some heinous federal crime they’ll likely take care of me forever!
