Hey there JWally!
Greetings from PA Dutch Country.
Most of us are avid pipe smokers, the rest are occasional to unknown,(BoB lurkers).
So what blends/brands do you smoke?
You get a lot of snow in Winter? We here in PA Dutch Country sure don't.

Welcome! Pull up a chair and set a while.

Hi there J, what's up eh. Welcome from Arizona. Hope you enjoy the group. As I've said before, it's a bunch of pretty good eggs, although a couple may be cracked, lol.

Hello Peter
I like black cavendish the best. Been smoking that for a few years now. As far as snow. When I first moved to Sarnia in 2004, we had very heavy snow falls, but for the past 10 years the snows been light to none. Sarnia is on Lake Huron and the lake effects the temperatures and keeps them warmer. But if the winds and a snow storm come out of north we can get really bad lake effect and my neighborhood will be snowed in.

Hello Bud
Guernsey is in Saskatchewan. Sarnia is in Ontario across from Port Huron Michigan on the St. Clair river. I'm a expatriate from Detroit Michigan who married a Canadian. Sarnia is a nice town and close to Michigan so I can get back easily to see my family.

Sarnia is the old name for the Island of Guernsey, once French, now English. I did not know about the one in Canada, although my ancestry is French-Canadian. As a Michigander, you are familiar with rough winters and now have to get through the Arctic temperatures of Canada. Happy American Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Hello Bud

I did know that Sarnia was a name of an island off the coast of France and Britain but I totally forgot about that. Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. we spent it at my daughters house in Michigan. Actually the winters in Sarnia and in Michigan have been pretty mild for the past few years so they haven't been bad. But I have a feeling that this winter may be cold and snowy. Just a gut feeling.

Take care
John
