This is such a sweet one. My newest pipe and made by Ron. It’s the blackest Morta imaginable…Ukrainian from around 5000 years…deeply and beautifully blasted. The stem material is Honey Swirl, it's a German Ebonite. The blast channels on the Morta flow visually into the pattern of the ebonite. It’s stunning. The bore is 7/8” and the overall length is 5 7/8”.

But since it was never offered for sale Ron didn’t do his usual pro photo workup. Sorry. So suffer ye members and make do with mine.

I've never smoked a morta. How would you describe its smoking characteristics to those of briar? (PS/ autocorrect doesn't like 'morta.')

A beauty.

Yeah. Groan. After a long conversation with my nephew (high level special projects contractor) we find ourselves on the brink of double retirement (wife joining me this next year) and multiple big projects needed on the house…roof, decking, gutters, paint, concrete. Again, GROAN! So I’m taking a hard look at my holdings and this pipe is likely one that will have to go…still pristine, unsmoked. Watch for it leading into the holiday season.

I'm interested --and it is already leading into the holiday season now, it being just nine weeks to Christmas.
