What's up, everyone. Reaching out from East Texas. I've enjoyed pipes for 5+ years and cigars for 10+ years. I prefer latakia blends (mostly English and Scottish) but have moods where I crave VAs and Navy. Pipes and cigars are my main vice, so I've been stocking and refining my collection constantly. I'm down to only a few factory pipes (all gifts, thus I will keep them forever) the rest are all American artisans pipes, mostly bespoke. I think the whole bottom row of my Waxing Moon cabinet is nothing but pieces made for me by my friends Ron Powell and Sean Reum. *also, I'm a LOTR nerd, as you my gather from my NASPC collection.

Yeehaw Triple Capped Piper!
Welcome to BoB! I'm from East Pennsylvania, SE to be exact -PA Dutch Country, Lancaster Co.
I see you have a couple of fine looking pocket knives in yer photo, you collect them too?
Are you a member of any other pipe smoking Forums? Me, I'm trying to get back on Christian Pipe Smokers.org, but so far have heard nothing back from their admins. in about 3 weeks. The original site crashed and burned a few years ago, now resurrected.
If you have a sense of humor, but not too much, you'll like it here. This is definitely not a free wheeling, no holds barred group. It's a proper, orderly outfit ← I have no idea why I just wrote that. If you want to get a little crazy, try the Rubber Room. There is mostly interesting posts in there.
Anyways, remember post early and post often!

Yes, I did -at one point in time- collect knives. There was a period there when I had Chris Reeve, Grimsmo, etc. But I got bored with them and sold all but my Spydercos and a few Benchmades. I've always had an affinity for Case knives. I hardly carry my slipjoints anymore, but I still think they're beautiful knives.

The first knife I bought for myself as a young teen was a Case single blade. I still have it and it still holds one hell of an edge!
I prefer Trappers. I do have one Folding Hunter. Ive got one of the new Longhouse models on my Christmas list from the wife, this year. They finally caught up to the modern EDC world. I might just carry a Case knife again. It's a front flipper with micarta scales, a pocket clip aaaand it's 20CV steel. I prefer M390 or S45v, but that 20CV is a marvel of technology compared to the old Case SureSharp blades of yesteryear

Nice rack/cabinet.
Thank you. I had it made by Ed over at Waxing Moon humidors. The cabinets I was able to find to house my collection (at least that many years ago) were all $500+. I figured if I was gonna spend that money, I might as well have an actual cabinet maker/carpenter make it, rather than pay so much for some imported, shoddy, made in China OBS crud. I now know I should have had a couple more rows, as I'm forced to keep pipes in various other places since they can't all fit in the cabinet. Hindsight 🤦🏼
