Excited for MLB Spring Training. My Tigers beat the Yanks and now the Dodgers vs Padres are playing a tight one. I love watching the youngsters trying to make the team and the chill atmosphere in FL and AZ ballparks. Ready to fire up my Dad’s old BBB Canadian smooth with Firebird Lake , a new fave. A dark aged rum and Vernor’s Ginger Ale is within reach.

My big Loenzetti full of Old Professor and a quiet evening. Melting here, a perennial quirk of Manitoba weather since I was a boy is a week of melt in February. It generally preecedes another cold snap and an additional dump of snow before the season genuinely begins to turn.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

I've been out all day working on the generator with Basil. Smoking MM Thing 1 and 2025 small batch all day A friend came to visit and gave me some seeds from his garden. I'm going to help prep his next weekend. Physically challenging for him and I'm happy to help. I'll end up with a 100 blueberry starts so it's a fair trade off.
After a lot of stress I finally got the generator running and we have power and internet again. The dark ages are over. 🎉🎉🎉
Making shepherd's pie and watching YouTube videos trying to figure out why my quick coupler on the excavator isn't working.
I'll be heading to the rack for the next letter in the Sutliff alphabet after dinner.

Now smoking Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Only have a few bowls left, and then, I'll clean this pipe some, and smoke the original No. 515 in it. Fed all the ferals except for Abner the Eager who didn't show up today. Tomato the Brave was on my lap for an hour, and as soon as I got up to feed the cats, Sleepy Suzy got by my side. Molly Danger has been on m'lady's lap for several hours.

Now smoking first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching Green Acres. Haven't seen this show in many years, but it always made me laugh. Especially Mr. Haney. I used to know a fella who did a very accurate impersonation of that character.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 04 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem. This ought to do it for me today.

Just finished a bowl of Rum & Walnut in a Waldorf straight bulldog while watching a couple more Stingrays. I love puppet TV Or movies. My favorite is Pili Fantasy : War of Dragons. It used to be on Netflix but now it's on a Taiwanese streamer.🙁 without the translation and subtitles. The dialog is freaking awesome. The fights and effects are spectacular. How they do it with puppets is beyond me. Highly recommend it. If you like puppets. If not it may convert you and that's not on me.

I also have a jar of Brown Flake scented that I didn’t like initially, but after it sat for a few years and then after a little more drying time, I felt it was much more enjoyable. The Rum Flake is a Xmas type blend for me and I love smoking it that time of year. Loved when they made the scented version of Coniston back in the day, but found the unscented version to be a little sharp. Will have to revisit some time!
I find that if you let the Coniston Cut Plug age in the jar a bit the virginias sweeten it up very nicely and smooths out the dark fired Kentucky. The last batch I bought was very tasty. My experience with Gawith flakes is if they sit in a very well sealed Mason jar, time works some magic with those blends.

Good Morning!
It's an overcast but not overly cold morning, nice for doing chores. I'm starting off with GLP Westminster in a bent MM Apple Diplomat along with a cup of coffee as usual.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2019 Prince Albert in an undated, unbranded straight smooth brown made in France Los Alton VBF Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Going to work in a little while.
