    One Lucky Dude...

Must be a Philly thing, I guess... You certainly hit the nail on the head, Les. Let's not call ourselves tobak whores, rather, let's celebrate the plethora of fine products available from which to choose. There is most definitely an abundance of fine weed available, whoo hoo!

What Are Your Drinking Right Now

A nice French Chardonnay. Corsin St. Veran. Full, but not oaky, with great mouthful and fruit flavor, a little minerality on the finish.

    One Lucky Dude...

Yup, that's me. And not by any doing of my own now, mind ya. Just is...trust me, there's plenty where the cards don't fall my way. In this instance, though, I thought I'd share my luck and experiences and hear of others, should they care to reply. What am I lucky in? Well, tobak. Click...

    Breaking in a pipe

There's lots of views out there...pick your poison. What did I do, you ask? Packed it full of pipe tobacco and smoked it! I was just conscious of the temp and didn't let it get too hot (you know, I smoked the pipe the way you're supposed to...), and it all sorted itself out. Have fun...

    Pipe bowl scale

Eh, who uses Charatan as a measuring stick, other than gents w/B-days today? Haha :P But as Monbla refers, there's no die hard truisms. Just know the smaller numbers hold less and the larger more. I like to work by bowl measurements. If you have one pipe that you know how much it holds...

    God awful BURLEY! YUK!

Ya, if Union Square is a problem for you it's something other than burley that's getting you in that blend. It's a straight VA, too, as Monbla has mentioned.

    Cigar Costs

Since picking up the pipe I, too, smoke less cigars. But I still keep them and enjoy them as a great change of pace. Cost is certainly a factor in my buying. But there are good smokes for $5-8. Famous cigar and cigar monster are two places to get deals. 5 packs with free shipping or good box...

    Liking red cake

Yo, I don't know if I should be spilling the beans, but you all are my brothers, right? All of Russ's HH blends have been selling "on sale" for $14.95 per 8oz tin for quite some time now. That'd be $30/# (in tins)....not bad, eh? Pipesandcigars, that is.... ' course I have 17.5oz of his...
