    What movie are you watching?

That opening frame with Lemmon rolling around his eye had me questioning it, but then it quickly hooked me. The whole opening bedroom sequence was amazing. A movie like this would never be made today, but even a scene like that, though feeling familiar for the time, isn't something they'd...

I need to have apps on mobile phone to get discounts in store now.

I think what they're saying is that in a The Walking Dead context 2024, the first thing you do is destroy the cell towers and make the undead into a different set of confused zombies looking for a purpose.

    char light?

I do it out of habit more than anything. I do think it is one of the more crucial tools we have at our disposal and never results in not being beneficial. I didn't do it this morning, but I do 9/10 times. Necessary? Eh...if you're into making more steadfast rules for yourself. If I was in a...

Are you a "Handyman" or "Passion Paws"?

I do my best to never start any project, especially the types I'm doing for the first time, after 12PM. I do not want to go to bed with an unfinished project, or a small project that turned up a problem that went into the night. For me, it is a recipe to lose sleep, and most of the time, that...

Are you a "Handyman" or "Passion Paws"?

I'm not skilled, but I'm also not afraid to try to fix almost anything. It took me too long to realize that most often, you can't screw up anything so badly that it is actually ruined. Worst case, it'll cost some money to remedy a mistake. Not to go on a diatribe, but I think that is the...

    TENNIS

I love that the US Open opted for electronic line calling. Every tournament should have it instead of humans calling lines. But I'm also a proponent of it for baseball pitching. As much as I love tradition, and am grateful that tennis is still greatly bound by it, there's zero reason we...

What music do you listen to keep the black dog away?(Depression)

Willie Nelson - Phases and Stages (1974) is another one that was recorded wonderfully. It's not one I hear about all that often, but geez is it ever an album that feels warm and cozy under a blanket in front of a fireplace popping and crackling. One that understandably could give ease of mind.

The Pegula/Muchova match last night was fantastic. Muchova has always been an exceptional player; the kind of player I love to watch because she has every shot in her arsenal, has extraordinary instinct for the game, and plays smart. That first set was embarrassingly great for her. She was...

What music do you listen to keep the black dog away?(Depression)

I'm a tone and production person in general, but they become evermore significant when I'm in a down state. I want lush, warm tones. I find them cozy and comfortable. The first two Bill Withers albums immediately come to mind. I'd also say Simon & Garfunkel The Concert in Central Park. A...

Great US Open so far. While he's not a favorite player, I love watching Medvedev. I know I've waxed poetic about this guy's huge, sweeping strokes, playing almost up against the back wall, his temper, and so on. I appreciate that the crowd also has this kind of love/hate/weirdo relationship...

Each of the Grand Slams has such a unique flavor. I love the US Open for the late nights. They didn't end play until 2:15AM Eastern time last night. And there's nothing in tennis like a NYC area crowd. Party mode that respects the traditions while establishing its own traditions and...

I'm not sure how I feel about ESPN/ABC giving Nick Kyrgios a primetime analyst spot. The guy was a disrespectful ****** as a player, and he was open about hating playing tennis. Lleyton Hewitt, one of the toughest straight-shooting short players I've ever watched, couldn't stand coaching his...

The US Open Tennis Tourn. began this morning. Looks as if Jannik Sinner is receiving preferential treatment over his banned substance violation (steroids). They come down hard on recreational drugs, but then give this guy a pass on something that falls under performance enhancing. To me, that...

Ed Burak Connoisseur "Sherlock Holmes" series

Nice grouping indeed. Kind of a Danish riffing on the Dunhill 120.

    Binge-worthy TV shows?

a couple things I've learned about TUBI since posting the other day... TUBI doesn't remember where you left off unless you register. They do have a good interface, so if you can remember the episode and the time where you last watched, it's not that much of a hassle to get to your last time...

    Binge-worthy TV shows?

TUBI...anyone use Tubi? It's a free streaming deal, but you can pay for the commercial-free package. I've known we've had it for a year or two, but I never bothered to peruse their catalogue. Was curious if I could have access to NYPD Blue again, so I did a general Xfinity search, which led...

    OK…a Ron Special…MORTA.

like the black athletic tape effect...also sharp the way the morta lines run constant with the stem lines.

    Selling your McClelland's?

if you buy from Pipestud, and are successful getting exactly what you want, you must have the gods in your favor. Every time I go to the next page, or hesitate for 30 seconds to read a description, it asks me to verify I'm a human again. If I wanted to look through all the pages, there's no way...

    Help identify pipe

Do any era of the Estellas have that kind of uniform carving? I've seen various stylings, but nothing like that. That pipe could be anything from and Edwards to a bucket pipe. I really have no idea.
