    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Staying in a different hotel this week, and the room has a balcony. Of course, balcony means pipe! Had a completely sublime smoke of Peterson's Standard in my Pete 303 Sandblast P-Lip. Ash right down to the bottom, and full flavor all the way.

    New (old) lighter

Ah, a table lighter. Used to see those on coffee tables all the time, whether the owner of the house smoked or not.

Stepped out for a very nice bowl of Peterson Standard in a Pete 303 Sandblast P-Lip. Little windy and cooler this morning, but still supposed to get o 91°.

    Rhodesian vs Bulldog

Can someone please summarize the difference between the Rhodesian and bulldog shapes? To my untrained eye, they seem the same.

Enjoying a bowl of Peterson Standard in the Savinelli-whatever. Actually, it conked out right after I took the pic. Sitting in my filthy Now-enclosed back porch that is slowly being transformed into more kitchen/dining area. I work slowly because I am old and decrepit, but it's coming together.

Stopped into The Hill Cigars to get a new pipe lighter and to smoke a bowl. Had one of my random tobaccos in my Jost pipe - haven't smoked it in a while. Not a sublime smoke, but it was decent.

So sorry, EZ. Would having an EpiPen handy keep you out of the ER? Alternatively, you could post a "No Bee Zone" sign in your yard. Such logic seems to be applied in other areas of danger...

    Pipe tobacco and mosquitos

Is there one pipe tobacco that is more skeeter repellent than any other?

Every time Jim posts about his chicken leg dinners, I picture a nursing home full of amputee chickens wheeling down the hall.

    New "Accidental" Pipe Case

Aargh! I really don't like how images work here. First I had double inline images, now they're not inline.

    New "Accidental" Pipe Case

About a year ago, I picked up one of those zippered, rectangular bank deposit bags to use as a pipe and accessory case. It was only five bucks and quite roomy. The wife and I were at Goodwill today, and I spotted this zippered leather case with a logo on it, "1915 Thompson & Co. Inc." Didn't...

Two and a Half Years In

Just thought I would share some things I am thinking, in the vein of what I would have liked to tell myself when I started: Don't pack the bowl too tight. I pretty much use the Frank Method - gravity feed the bowl to the top, giving the bottom of the bowl a couple of hard slaps into your...

Had second, and now third (and last) pipe. Earlier it was the MM 150th Anniversary Cob with random aromatics. If you like cobs, I highly recommend you get one before they run out. Now smoking Peterson's Standard in my other Pete. Then off to the shower so I can be all spiffy for my Sweetie's...
