This is one of my favorite blends and I'm down to about a tin and a half of it. Once it's gone, it's gone because they haven't produced it for about 5 years. If anyone out there has some that they would like to unload, PM me.
As we say goodbye to 2012, it's Dunhill Aperitif in a Don Fuhr custom egg to usher in the new year. This is my last tin of this superb leaf and why it's no longer available in the U.S. mystifies me.
I live near and frequent JFH and have smoked all of their blends. As for the Middle Earth series, they are hit and miss for me. Their best seller, Shortcut to Mushrooms, is likely to score with most anyone's palate. They sell ungodly amounts of the stuff worldwide. JFH does offer a sample...
Bob Gravett, original owner and founder of Just For Him, has passed away following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was a good man and will be missed by many.
A menacing 3° here in the Ozarks this morning. Beginning the day with HPCS Butternut Burley in a large hand made apple by Alan Stevenson. Coffee on the side. Not looking forward to venturing out into the arctic chill, but some things a person just has to do.
Although I do know the recipe, I won't disclose it. Basically a vanilla/latakia blend. Very well done by a former first rate tobacconist named Bob Schafer.
A cold 10F here in the Ozarks. Snow has covered everything and it pretty much just sucks to be outside....so I won't be.
Butternut Burley in an IMP meer. Coffee on the side.
It's went up considerably in the last 5 years. For the most part, I purchase mine in bulk and it's still pretty reasonable. Postage kinda sucks though.
