    An interesting exchange on Facebook

I am fully prepared to buy tobacco on the black market if and when it becomes available and will do so without the slightest shred of guilt.

    What are you smoking?

RLP-6 in a Savinelli Duca Carlo Dublin. Coffee on the side. Not a bad value pipe, but by no means a Danish Stanwell.

    Ever Hear That Song?....

Call me cynical, but I wouldn't pay that for any pipe.

    An interesting exchange on Facebook

Little Brown The Lil Brown Smoke Shack team at the Las Vegas Tobacco Exp Show launching our new Vision Hunter RYO Pipe Tobacco. We were also the feature sponsor at the opening night Expo dinner!! Vision Hunter will be available the end of March, 2010!! Yesterday at 1:43pm Bill Blevins RYO...

    Lane RLP-6

RLP-6 and Captain Black White are quite a bit different, although they share some similarities in flavor. RLP-6 is rough cut, is made with better leaf, has less flavoring and a halluva lot less humectant. I personally think Captain Black White is unsmokable.

    Mac Baren Honey & Chocolate

This is the best chocolate flavored tobacco that I've tried and I've tried a lot of them. The tobacco is on the dry side coming out of the tin. A dark blend that burns clean and has provides the distinct flavor of dark chocolate as well as the tobacco. It has a decent nic kick and provides for...

    What are you smoking?

Enjoying some Mac Baren Honey & Chocolate in a large IMP meerschaum apple. Wonderful blend in a high quality meer.

    What are you smoking?

Frog Morton in a recently acquired Stanwell Colonel freehand. Diet Coke on the side.

    IMP Meerschaum

I've had a number of different brands of meerschaum pipes over the years but only recently obtained a couple of IMP meerschaums. I found these pipes to be of the highest quality from the stone used to the excellent engineering. Another benefit to smoking an IMP is the price. None of the IMP...

    Stanwell (Danish Production)

It's sad that the Stanwell factory is no more. I have a handful of these fine machine made pipes and to me there simply is no better value for the money. I probably won't buy any of the newer Italian made "Stanwell" pipes because frankly, they're not really a Stanwell other than in name.

    Lane RLP-6

Not being a noob to the pipe, I have smoked my fair share of flakes, English blends, etc. Now I am starting to fall into the "old codger" habit of just primarily smoking one tobacco. I have found my preferred all day smoke to be Lane's RLP-6. It seems to suit my needs. Any other smokers of this...

    Stonehaven

I found Stonehaven to leave a rather unpleasant "fruity" taste in my mouth. You guys can smoke it all. I'll pass.

    AND Meers

In my experience, the best quality for the dollar seems to be IMP Meerschaum pipes. They're available at several online retailers. They're made from high quality block meerschaum and are engineered quite well. Those being the most important qualities because no matter how pretty a pipe is, it's...

    Prince Albert Cherry Vanilla

I like PA, but I didn't care for the Cherry/Vanilla version. I mostly smoke Lane's BCA these days anyway.

    Xikar lighters.....junk

The guy that runs the Gray Fox Online gave me one a few months back. I have to say that the IMCO has remained my favorite. By the way, did you know there's a spare flint inside of them?

    A Brother in Need

Yeah, he can smoke there. Seems they provide a smoking area. There are five others smokers as I understand it. None of which smoke pipes.

    A Brother in Need

An interesting bit about Stan. He too was once a U.S. Army soldier during the Korean war. I saw a photo of him once with his pipe. He still smokes that same pipe today.

    A Brother in Need

Fellow pipe smoke Stan Glugover, 79, has been confined to a nursing home. He has been a brother of the briar for 65 years now. Although he has his pipes, he is without tobacco, lighters or pipe cleaners. He has no means of obtaining these things as he is of limited means. I'm sure he would...

    Robert Downey Jr. As Sherlock????

Saw the film and it was excellent. Spotted a goof though. He referred to his pipe as being a "clay pipe" and it was actually a Savinelli blast, shape #127.

    Xikar lighters.....junk

I haven't had any problems with my Xikar. But if I do, knowing that I can take it back to my local B&M and grab another one out of the showcase for free replacement makes it well worth the price.
