    What Are You Smoking Pages.

More Hunting Creek in my Pete Middleton at the gun club last night. Frankly it was a bit windy for a pipe and therefore not the best smoke I've ever had, but hey - ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances, right? In between rounds I flipped open the lid on the container for dumping empties...

    Fall Addiction

My wife, daughter and granddaughter are addicted to Trader Joe's and to all things pumpkin; I'll spread the word!

    char light?

I only do it if the first match doesn't do its job :).

EGR in a Peterson Rathbone. And Jim, we'd gladly take some of that rain off your hands!

Are you a "Handyman" or "Passion Paws"?

Also, it seems like everything I go to do creates something else that needs done before I can do whatever it was I wanted to do in the first place !

Are you a "Handyman" or "Passion Paws"?

Your "don't hurry" statement reminds me of the old saying: "If you don't have time to do it right, how will you find the time to do it over?"

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Took my pouch of Country Squire Hunting Creek to the gun club last night along with this military-mount Peterson 107, a big ol' billiard that takes a good load.. The tobacco is billed as an English aromatic and I would agree with that; don't typically care for aromatics and I found the...

Are you a "Handyman" or "Passion Paws"?

Like Ranger I seem to be pretty good at stuff. I enjoy figuring things out and accomplishing them, and I'm pretty good at improvising. My wife gets annoyed because I'll spend my time fixing something that I could just replace for a few bucks, but I hate throwing something away if I can fix it...

    Country Squire Hunting Creek

Anybody tried it yet? I just got my 4oz today and must say it smells delicious in the pouch! I think the name coerced me; great name to celebrate fall. Will probably try it at the gun club tomorrow.

    Pipe maintenance question

One of the worst rules that was eve foisted on pipe smokers is "you must smoke your tobacco to the bottom of the bowl".

What music do you listen to keep the black dog away?(Depression)

Vivaldi's Four Seasons or Bach's Brandenburgs always lighten my mood. Musically I'm mostly just an old folkie but there's not a lot of stuff I like that you'd call mood enhancing!

    Sigh. Another Peterson...

Me too! I have my rack of 36 "rotational" smokers and 32 of 'em are Petes. I have to admit to not smoking as much as I used to though and it's hard to give them all their due 😟

I believe they are all WWI aircraft; there are names as well but I don't know if they match up to each plane. I'd post a pic of a wall but frankly there's not really a space left that isn't covered by other stuff; here's the best I could do. This was my son's room until he got into high school...

    Sigh. Another Peterson...

I always thought the Hansome was the most unattractive shape in the Sherlock Holmes series and had no desire to own one. Then this estate pipe appeared and in the Terracotta finish which I really like and...well, you know the rest. Now that I have it in hand I find I rather like it...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

To the gun club last night with a pouch of Half 'n' Half and the old Pete B5; I particularly like the rustication Peterson was doing during that period. Shot Orphan Annie, my Parker single barrel trap gun - 24/25 of the first round. Slipped a bit on the handicap round but so did everybody...

    Fall has arrived

The Good Wife cut up a red and green pepper, an onion, and seasoned it up with a bit of olive oil and some spice-type goodies...we tossed a basketful on the grill with some brats and toasted some Brioche buns at the end of it; with a glass of good beer it made for a fine First Day of Fall supper...
