That sounds about like my experience. It's not that hard to nurse them and pay a little attention to the temperature, I just found it odd that meers are touted as being especially cool, when it seems like most any cob or briar is way harder to overheat.

Thanks for your reply. I love the flavor I get from my meers, and I can usually keep them smoking cool enough, but I have to enforce a less frequent puffing cadence than with my briars. Do you find that your meers smoke particularly more coolly than your briars? Or just cool in general.

Just saw this thread lol. Any regrets about selling off so much of your stash? Must have been disappointing to quit for a year.

I enjoy my meerschaum pipes, but have noticed they all smoke way hotter than my briars. If I'm not careful, the temperature of the smoke can be quite aggressive. I'm confused because most every resource I can find online about meerschaum pipes insists they provide an especially cool smoke...

Very nice! Gun to my head I'd call it an Egg, but your guess is as good as mine. Looks a pretty decent size and weight too. Let us know how it smokes

Welcome! Classical guitar is a beautiful world of music to get into. I ended up pursuing jazz, but I still have a couple nice Cordobas laying around that don't get played nearly as often as they deserve.

Probably 10th edit: had an issue with Altinay customer service but they patched up the situation in an acceptable manner. Back in my good books, and highly recommended lol.

I will add that Altinay is really raising their prices as of a few weeks ago. I just checked their most recent listings, and I was a bit surprised by the increase. Might not be able to collect as many of these as I would like

GH&Co Dark Birdseye in a Vauen bent pot. I think I could go the rest of my life only smoking the range of shag cuts from GH and not be too unhappy about it.

I was looking around for Baki pipes for ages.. he seems to have gone MIA, or is selling his pipes somewhere that I can't find. Have you seen any for sale anywhere lately?
