    Oriental forward? (and virginia tips?)

Oriental #40. I have it and like it. However, it’s just a bit one dimensional (for obvious reasons). Not in my normal rotation. I never tried mixing it as there would be no point.

    Cellaring bulk tobacco

Indeed. I smoked English and Balkans for five decades. Upon discovering McClellands blends and other Virginias and Virginia Periques I now mostly smoke them now. Glad I never got into Aromatics!

    Gurgle or not

Sorry. I put this comment in the wrong discussion thread. A member was asking for help with a tight stem fit and I was giving him the advice about using beeswax as a lubricant solution.

    Hello guys,

Hey, They probably do. We go to the one in Simi Valley. It’s the same ownership and they are good.

    Gurgle or not

I should also mention that beeswax is very inexpensive and one 1” by 1” piece has lasted me 3 years.

    Gurgle or not

I’ve got a couple of Neerup churchwardens like that one and they never gurgle. Not sure but it’s probably because you are smoking aromatics. There’s no way I can clench those pipes for more than a second by the way.

    Tight MM Cobbit stem

The perfect remedy is beeswax which can be purchased on Amazon. You just rub the stem over the solid chunk of beeswax and that’s it. It allows the stem to effortlessly be inserted. Solves the issue. What is also amazing is beeswax works for both a tight fit and a loose one.

    Hello guys,

I’ve been a member for a couple of months. I’ve been smoking pipes and cigars for 57years. This is a good site.

Anyone use a pipe lighter insert for a Zippo?

I have three of them. One was a very tight fit to replace the original insert. Also they are a tad restrictive it you are left handed as the cover open in one direction. But you get used to it. I don’t often use them as I’d prefer OldBoys and others types.
