Do You Often Eat In Restaurants?

My wife and I go to a restaurant every week or two. We almost always go to a local, Ma & Pa restaurant in our community and tip well (happy to help parts of my town get through tough times). Natch

    red wine as a component?

ZM, pm me your address and I'll send you a sample. I really like the stuff. Tobacco Reviews described it as: A blend of mature Virginias are cured with red wine, pressed in a cake, and steam-treated. The result is a jet black cake which delivers load of thick rich smoke. Several of the more...

Anybody planning a Spring or Summer fun trip yet?

No. I was around 10 when he sold it and bought an early 60s Buick Electra. You could fit an entire third-world village in the back seat, and the trunk could easily accommodate a dozen bodies or more. (Sometimes you have a lot of evidence to dispose of quickly.)

    Darkstar

I used to smoke it in the past. If memory serves me correctly (which increasingly it doesn't), we even ran a blind taste test on this board with 10 of our BoB's several years ago. We had been having a discussion regarding Darkstar and MC #2035 Dark Navy Flake. Some, including me, thought it...

    Virginia Perique cigars

"And now, locally at least, cigarettes are going for around $10 per pack! OMG. What a world! I’ve rented apartments for that kind of money." I'll assume that wasn't in downtown Manhatten? For $10 these days you might get a dumpster behind Walmart.

    Hello from North Mississippi

Welcome from Arkieland. I wish there had been a board like this when I began smoking, I did just about everything wrong for the first couple of years. Fortunately, I'm too stupid to quit. Enjoy the board and please feel free to ask anything you want, we all want to help the next generation...

    Hello from Wi

Welcome from Arkieland. Grew up (as much as I ever did) in Wisconsin. I'll assume you've been to Uhles? I still stop in when I'm visiting friends.

Have You Had Your HOT SAUCE Today?

Hey, that has been my favorite for almost 40 years. Back when I lived in Belize (mid-80s) it went under a different name, but I believe the recipes are the same. Visiting friends down there recently, I discovered the absolute best version. Smokin Marie is a medium-strength (by their...

Anybody planning a Spring or Summer fun trip yet?

That was the car of my childhood. From birth to 3rd grade, my parents were teachers/principle and had the summers off. Every summer we'd load up the wagon and drive out west, then usually up the Canadian Rockies past Jasper. Two months or sheer adventure for a young kid. Here is my older...

For those of you who are retired or making the move to retirement.

I had reached 66 1/2 and we had lived a rather frugal life, so my younger wife and I thought we could do OK if I retired. However, there were three other, more pressing reasons that persuaded me it was time. First, I am a polio survivor (iron lung, hospital for almost a year, wheelchair and...

Stokkebye's Cube Cut Burley tried to kill me today

I was opening this jar today, the first time in ten years since I originally jarred it, and those nasty little cubes viciously attacked me. Usually, I keep my hand over the lid when I open an aged jar, as I've had a couple of them pop and launch the lid. But these little basterds blasted the...

Anybody planning a Spring or Summer fun trip yet?

RR, The summer I worked there I got to know several of the ranger/EMTs, we had a place for employees to have a beer and relax. One evening they were discussing a lady they had to restrain and ticket earlier that day. She had put peanut butter on her toddler's nose and pushed him towards a...

Anybody planning a Spring or Summer fun trip yet?

As for our family trip....we had booked tickets for a couple of weeks in Belize, my old stomping grounds. I wanted to show my wife where I did all the stupid things she's head about! But, when our only child announced she was pregnant with our first grandchild, all trips other than out to...

Anybody planning a Spring or Summer fun trip yet?

You should love Yellowstone. I worked out there years ago and fell in love with the place. Not the "grand" landscape views of Glacier of Olympics, but the wildlife and geologic features are outstanding. If you happen to be there under a low moon phase, make it out to the Middle Geyser Bason...
