    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Eating late tonight, got some pre-dinner newminister round slices in a yello-bole full bent billiard, I smoke about one bowl a week of this a week and it is the spiciest tobacco I've tried so far lol!

Quick bowl of GH rum flake while I wait for a load of laundry to finish. And yes, while I was writing my last response, where I gushed all about yello-bole's briar grain, I was smoking out of a medico brylon pipe lol. A Medico Apollo small dublin.

Some people call yello-boles "kaywoodie seconds", but I think that's a misnomer. For most of the 20th century Kaywoodie was the largest consumer of briar on the planet, with only the choicest large sections of the burl being used for kaywoodies, that left a whole lot of leftover briar which...

What Are Your Top Ten Tobaccos?

I keep seeing people talking about figgy pudding lol, it must not be available until closer to christmas. How does it compare to their other aros? "White rose" is the only CS tobacco that has stood out to me so far.

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

First smoke in this unfiltered Dr. Grabow billiard I won on eBay, I've gotten 2 unsmoked pipes from the same seller for an extremely reasonable price, still in their "pipes and cigars.com" boxes lol. The weight and draw are awesome in this so far, I think the "unfiltered" versions draw better...

What Are Your Top Ten Tobaccos?

Love seeing these old threads stoked back to life! I'm just going to put what I have smoked/stocked the most of, in order (otherwise I would drive myself crazy lol) 1. Half n' Half 2. Peterson Sherlock Holmes 3. Stokkebye Luxury Navy flake 4. Sutliff 507c Virginia slices 5. Sutliff Bright...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Gawith Hoggarth Bosun Plug in a small medico straight dublin (first picture), decided to include some pictures of the new pipe project I just got in the mail. A KBB marked yello-bole stem-biter billiard, I cleaned the stem and mortise first and now it's under a heat lamp to dry out the cake as...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Some KBV Raven's eye in a yello-bole spartan full bent billiard. Rainy day today, with the temp dropping into the 30s at night, I kind of thought it would be our first snow which is waaaay too early for me lol 🙁. Raven's eye is a delicious and smooth VaPer, but I'm not sure it's worth the...

    Stuff I been working on....

Gorgeous grain! I have been looking at those kits for years and have just never pulled the trigger on one, I have an old .44 blackpowder revolver I used to shoot quite a bit but I just got tired of having to clean it lol.

8 oz of rum twist, I've had the Gawith Hoggarth bug lately, which has not been good for my wallet. I had to leave a few of these laying on the couch and blame it on the dog lol! This stuff is delicious, but definitely not an all day smoke 😅

    Aromatic burley blends

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I have all the stuff to make urban cowboy so I'll whip that up soon and report back, I have about 5 blends from CS I haven't gotten to yet and I'll order some boswells, as long as I can get to the mail box before my wife 😀

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Ken Byron 2023 Acadian flake in a medico gold crest billiard. I would consider it one of the best estate pipe restoration I have done, if it weren't for the damn nylon stems they put on them! Which is unfortunate because I love the shapes of the gold crest line, but I'm not about to deal with a...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

I feel the same way about newminister 400, halfway through your post I thought "oh good, I can send what I have to Ranger" and then I read the rest of it and laughed 🤣 It has a terrible artificial sweetner taste to me, even after almost a year in a jar. So PM me also if you enjoy it!

    I was watching TV…

I remember having to watch her show with my mom as a kid, and then all the jokes after she got locked up. I always liked her, I doubt she would have gone to prison if that happened today lol.

    Aromatic burley blends

Been venturing into more burley-centric blends after smoking some HH burley flake and GH rum flake this month. I'm really loving the rum flake, the HH flake is excellent but just a little too monotone for me. I have smoked a bunch of blends with some burley in them and am not a huge fan of...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

First bowl of country squire's Delta Honeydew, a little more aromatic than I was expecting but it's still a very tasty virginia. Smoked in a BR dublin I picked up recently, had to sand about 6 inches off either side of the bit to make it smokable lol! It was about as wide as a bic when I got it.

Thoughts on low aged Tobacco and Pricing???

Very well put Zeno, the first hobby I saw this happen with was shooting. Some people would just buy everything that was on the shelves, even if they didn't have that caliber. The people buying the majority of the ammo will never live long enough to shoot all of it, and probably don't shoot much...

Thoughts on low aged Tobacco and Pricing???

I'm definitely not the target audience here, but I think this question speaks to a deeper problem in the pipe community. Everyone sees the outrageous prices being charged for discontinued/aged tins and wants to think they have an investment when they really don't. You can ask whatever you want...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Finally had some rain yesterday, looks like we have some more coming tonight thank god. I'm just glad I dont have any hay down right now lol! Some ennerdale in a restored yello-bole apple shape before dinner this evening, backdrop supplied by a very sleppy puppy.

I find that making mistakes is the best way to learn something... That's what I tell myself anyways! Some 220 grit sandpaper will take that stem down to the right diameter in no time!
