IMHO unsightly and depending on how bad the oxidation (at least in my experience) it can affect the taste while smoking. Not so much the flavor of the blend but more the taste of the stem against your lips.
I get mine at the local grocery store. Whenever they have them in stock I end up grabbing two or three boxes because it seems like they are always running out of stock.
I remember many years ago buying a Jirsa pipe from a local pipe shop in Phoenix that had a very sour taste when I first started to break in no matter what type of blend I put in it. I finally got got the taste out by smoking straight burleys for a good month or so. I finally figured out what...
WarneOut: I like Zeno Marx think I understand what you referring to when you refer to a "balanced" pipe but in my minds eye some of your examples to me are more astetects then balance. To me a well made/balanced pipe has more to do with the fit of the stem, how the airway is cut into the tobacco...
I would second the suggestions concerning Vauen pipes. They have a wide price range and all the ones I have purchased through the years have all been good smokers.
I may be wrong but I don't think you can buy snuff online and shipped (supposedly to protect the children). You will need to find local to purchase is my understanding.
I was forced to at the Airlines I was at after a couple months shy of 30 years. I was a Manager of QC for Phoenix and Las Vegas. My Director and I didn't see eye to eye when it came to aircraft safety so I I was retired with a package. The good thing was a couple months later he and the VP of...
I love the 45 Long Colt. My pride and joy that I wear when turkey hunting is my S&W Mountain Gun with 4 inch barrel. I can't believe how hard back in the 90's it was to find a double action 45 LC.
When I was in the Marshall Islands in the late seventies the local pub (the Snake Pit) had a small kitchen that a Marshallese guy would cook for us. One of the favorites was Spam, cabbage, carrots, onions over rice. Stir fried with soy sauce.
I use to love Red Robbins teriyaki burger with lettuce and a slice of pineapple along with their steak fries. I probably go out three or for times a week to some of the local ma and pa diners for either breakfast or lunch, then I'm good for the day. Average cost probably $11 a trip.
