    What Are You Smoking Pages.

FVF is one of my favorites. A friend saw that I was smoking mainly classic American drugstore blends. He did I needed to widen my horizons. He sent me a very large sample package. Some Frog Morton and others from that blender. Then I found two bags with SG FVF and 1792 flake. I was blown away...

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Have you ever tried C&D Pegasus? That is a burley forward tobacco. I add a little bit of black Cavendish to it to make the room note more pleasant. It's great on it's own but some bystanders don't like the aroma. I'm thinking about adding some C&D black Cavendish next time I make my one pound...

Has anyone tried Heine's Blend from Sutliffs?

Thank you for the advice Jim. I will try the apples then smoke some Classic Burley Kake. That is beautiful and well blended tobacco.

Has anyone tried Heine's Blend from Sutliffs?

I know when chef's make dishes they add ingredients to make them taste like something else than what the ingredients actually are. I'm sure the blenders do the same thing with tobacco. I did smoke it in a cob a lot of times and I just don't taste any pineapple. To be honest Jim, I don't know...

Has anyone tried Heine's Blend from Sutliffs?

I purchased a tub of Sutliffs Heine's Blend about two years ago. I opened it last year and I'm about half way through the tub. It's a little close to Edgeworth match in regards to cut and the base casing. But the topping is beautiful. Some people say citrus and or pineapple but I don't get any...

    VELVET

Borkum Riff "Original" is a very nice smoke. The others in the series are horrible. The tongue bite is atrocious. I bought a pouch of the original probably two years ago and the way I preped it , the tobacco smoked cool and dry. The taste was very good as well as the room note. The trick is too...

    VELVET

Have you tried Prince Albert? That is my everyday smoke. I can't call it my all day smoke because I like my aromatics at night. The weekends I dip into my Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth flakes.

    VELVET

Velvet, and Half and Half give me terrible tongue bite. I love their taste and aroma but it can't get past the bite. It doesn't matter how I load the pipe or if I use filters or not and it doesn't matter what pipe I use. I think it's something in the casing or topping that isn't agreeing with me.

That is a beautiful pipe. The grain on the shank looks amazing. My favorite shape is the straight billiard style, Canadian, Lumberman, Liverpool and the straight Dublin. Looking at your collection is a real treat Sir.

    Smoking attire

I live in Pennsylvania so our weather changes with the seasons, when it's hot I just wear a tee shirt but when it's chilly out or even when I have the air conditioner on full blast my apartment gets nice and cold so I wear a beat up flannel light jacket when I smoke my pipe.

    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Jim, I'm so glad you asked Sutliffs to save this wonderful masterpiece. I've introduced four pipe smokers to this blend and they absolutely love it. It was my first blend I tried with Latakia. The Artful Codgers video about this blend is what inspired me to try it probably around five years ago...

    Comparable to Lane 1Q

Do you get a chemical taste from 1-Q? My palette must be fried because I just don't detect what other pipe smokers taste with the chemical taste. The only weird thing I tasted was from Granger when I bought two 12oz tubs right before Lane moved to Denmark, I got like a burning plastic taste and...
