I've thought about it a few times, but I always figured they were more of a gizmo novelty than an actual pipe worth smoking. I finally got a Kirsten a year or so back, had high hopes, and was pretty disappointed. I thought it was cool as heck, but it didn't smoke well.

I have a few hundred grams of unscented brown pigtail. It is a fine amd strong smelling tobacco, and must be smoked in small pipes, slowly. Quite powerful, but very good. The maple sounds interesting, might have to look some out.

We went into Sluys but it was after we'd eaten lunch, so we bought a bunch of bread and pastries to take back to the house. Don't recall what we bought exactly but it was all outstanding. That little bakery was packed with people, and for good reason.
