I have never liked sump/well system pipes like the Petes because they just create condensation chambers that create a mess I would not otherwise have. This is just an expansion on that premise. I don't care for the looks or the theory of the tubos/conducta type pipes.

I don't care for the OTCs for a couple reasons. To me they lack strength and body is the main reason. Second, they are just soaked with PG or other preservatives. That wouldn't bother me if I didn't get a chemical taste, or they didn't goop up my pipes, but they do. I have smoked burley...

I like a longer smoke, and have recently developed an affinity to stacks with about a 3/4 in bowl dia. This old Sasieni Royal Stuart is one of my favorites.

I understand the nostalgic aspect, but just don't care for it. It lacks body and strength, and is heavily cased. Expect the buzz was from the booze. I have tried several of the old OTCs several times, and just can't like them. Just my 2¢.

Not a big fan of rum infused blends, but I like this one better than others I have tried. It has some strength and body. I think it is the Kentucky I taste most in it. The rum topping never goes away though.

I own a half dozen SerJacs and a couple Ardors. Between the two, the Ardors are the better smokers in my opinion, and better made. My Ardors are grp 5/6 size and more or less traditional shapes. You just have to watch and wait, they will show up. Over all top of the line Italian to me is...

Bought one in 1967. It smoked hot and wet, and I thru it away. Never tried another one. I understand some love them, but that is my experience.
