    What Are You Smoking Pages.

I believe that para rubber (I've also see it written 'Para rubber') is a particular type or grade of vulcanite. Ed liked the quality of that material and made a point of noting that it was what he used for his pipes.

I believe that stem is para rubber. Or, if acrylic, it's a replacement. Burak never used anything other than para rubber. What's that circle after "CONNOISSEUR"?

    What's your oldest pipe

This Ulmer could have been made any time during the 18th or 19th centuries. No hallmark . . . cannot date exactly. I don't smoke it but it has been a beautiful addition to my pipe collection.

    Pipe Wanted Peterson's "Kapp-Royale"

I'm anxious to add a Peterson's "Kapp-Royale" to my rack. PM me if you have one you're willing to part with. Would also consider Pete's "Straight Grain." Also, Peterson's 9BC . . . the old ones, not the POY. And, of course, I'm always looking for Ed Burak's Connoisseurs

    Peterson question

A slight bend helps but I've had no trouble cleaning my P-lip Petersons (not p-hole, b.t.w., that's at the end of your penis) with regular pipe cleaners.

Ed Burak Connoisseur "Sherlock Holmes" series

I just acquired another pipe in Ed Burak's "Sherlock Holmes" series. A favorite Connoisseur shape. Here's all seven of them in my collection, Several different variations. The new one is at the lower left . . . rounder bowl than the others. Nice bouquet, right?
