Turns out an intern at the NTSB confirmed the names when the station checked. Of course the student was fired.

Not seeing a site-related questions forum, so I'll ask here

I looked around also. I could not find a method. Even the FAQ section says to go the profile to make a change. Maybe you can check with a moderator. Good luck and post if /once you find out. Maybe remove your membership and sign up again. Update: Looks like there is not way of removing...

    Drucquer's

Not really a reality check. I thought that that article by Marty on his site was so interesting that I saved it. He does not have an archive but I looked on my computer and there was Part 1. I was in the shop once or twice when a poor student. They had some huge "arm chair" Charatan pipes for...

OK Yak now you have..............!@#$% Marty Pulvers wrote Part 1 Robert Rex began working at Drucquer's  tobacco shop in Berkeley, CA in 1962 and  by 1964 he was ready to buy the shop  from the Drucquer bros., who owned the  store that was brought over from London,  by their father, in 1928...

    Drucquer's

If you posted the first part, I did not see it here. His comments on the transition of the business are spot on. Good history lesson I guess.

    First broken pipe!

Sounds like you can repair the shank and insert it back in the cob applying glue. I was going to suggest using heat shrink tubing for electrical wiring to seal the shank and hold it together. It is a little more elegant the electrical tape.:geek:

    Headaches

I never thought of low blood sugar being a cause. Nicotine will cause a drop in blood sugar level. It also causes a constriction of blood vessels. I was thinking that a rebound in the capillaries after smoking could cause a HA. HAs are usually caused by expanded capillaries not constricted ones...

    Stupid Earthquakes

They are just not as often as tornadoes and hurricanes in the east. So, we are used to them especially the small ones.

How long does a piezo lighter last??

Thanks for the info Kyle. I have not heard of that failure mode. Since I spend time at altitude, Matches are a good idea. Zippos dry out to fast. :drunken:

    Sacramento. Postponed.

Time well spent at Tobacco Road. One half bowl of red Virginia which did not bite me and a full bowl of 4 noggins Painter Hills. PH is a delightful smoke. Zee runs a very welcoming shop. He felt sorry for me being jilted. I had a good time but three hours of cigar smoke was enough! (I forgot to...

Can you help me identify this pipe?

I wounder what the chain is for. My guess would be to connect it to a long stem similar to the German - Austrian type of pipe.

+1 [somedumbjerk] Bicycling is a great conditioning mode if you enjoy it. A good bike shop will be able to measure your sit bones and get the correct size of "narrow "seat. You should be able to try out a loner to see if it works for you. I am almost 71 and ride 20 to 40 mile rides twice a...
