    Palate Cleansing II

hehehe, yeah, J, something a whole lot like that! :lol!: First, he needed more salt (and maybe a little lime). The closer you can get the water to body temp and salinity level the better it will feel. Cold water and no salt feels like a cannonball into a spring creek. I wonder if that Evan...

    Hello From Sweden

Welcome, Love. I enjoy looking at your pipe page. I, too, prefer smaller pipes for the same reasons as you. Very nice work. I look forward to your posts here. showme

    Bargains for the Brothers...

Hehehe, great site. "I will not mix and/or pull pipes from one group to another. Don't piss me off by asking." Pipe Nazi comes to mind. I think I will buy a pipe in the future from this man. If he'll let me. Hi, Mr. Pulvers, I'd like that Stanwell please. :D No pipe for you. :x Next...

    Palate Cleansing II

Smokey, be sure to chime in with anything I've left out or add on with your own experiences. I wish I had known a bit more about the process before I started. The neti pot (or jala neti) is used for nasal irrigation. Here is a link to a site (there are many others) that has a video showing the...

    Knox News

The windows have not been painted black yet, and the old-time speakeasy door hasn't been installed. Vito, Alfredo, or TJ: I think they are looking for someone with an Italian accent to stand outside in a long black coat and fedora. 8) showme

    Desert Island Smokes...

I think if I was being put off a ship and could only take one pipe and one tobacco I would have to choose my Viprati which will smoke anything I put in it without hesitation, and some Virginia Woods. I'm a big fan of latakia, but I don't know how long I could smoke it on a hot deserted island...

Anyone Know Who Made This Pipe???

I've got several pipes by that carver: A. Nonymous. Seriously though, that is a dandy pipe, Dock. If the letters are carved, would the old putting a piece of paper over the letters and rubbing it with a pencil trick bring them out? showme

    "Lofty Expectations!!!"

Hahahaha, the infamous hodge podge. I've had it when it was good, and I've had it when it was not so good. I've also had it with cookie crumbs in it; go figure. showme

Anybody know where Mark Chambers (dottleman) is?

M2, I know there is a Knox area pipe smokers organization, maybe you could contact someone there and see if they know anything. Mark is sure to have some friends there. In fact, here is the link: http://www.knoxpipesmokers.org/ I hope you find him well. I met Mark (and Keith) in Chicago once...

Hello from St. Charles, County, Missouri

Hey Dado8, it is good to have some MO people around here. I'm from just south of St. Louis (Arnold) originally. I've been meaning to get up to Dengler's everytime I get back home but I never seem to make it north of Olivette. There is a ton of good knowledge from great people on this board...

What type of razor do you use?

For Christmas I just got a Progress Vulfix razor (accepts Mach 3 blades) and a Pure Badger brush. This is my first badger-hair brush and I used it first thing this morning. I was certainly impressed with how well it lathered considering how soft and flexible the bristles are; sure is a far cry...

What Blends should I start with? HELP!

Lucky, in my opinion the best tobacco to start trying is FREE tobacco. Accept anything that is offered and give it a try. You might like it at once, or you might like it enough to try something in its family. Or, you may dislike it so much you avoid anything close to it. There is no better...
