    PHOTOBUCKET SUCKS !!!

I had 2,100 photos, using about 35% of the available space I believe.

    PHOTOBUCKET SUCKS !!!

The same thing happened with "Webshots" 5-6 year ago. Everyone moved to Photobucket. And so it goes with free web picture hosting..

    PHOTOBUCKET SUCKS !!!

This site is one of the few that allows hosting a photo and insertion directly into a thread. In fact, of all the pipe forums, this one is probably the most fully featured and user friendly. I just deleted 2,100 photos and my Photobucket account.

GBD New Era Bent Billiard (510F)

I picked this one up with the intent of flipping. But....after it arrived and I found the shape number, 510 F, I couldn't find another like it. It reminds me of a Dunhill 120, or Sasieni Viscount Lascelles (or a poor man's LC!). It had it's share of knocks and dings, some of which still...

    Orlik De Luxe pipe?

Unfortunately, we lost the best web site for info on Orlik and Loewe pipes, "cakeanddottle.com". Mike Lankton closed the site.

    One sick pipe!

Wow, fabulous! I've met Max and his father (on Ebay, thesecondhandsmoker) at the Philly club. He showed me a few of his pipes and prototype for this one. He was trying to work out how to recreate a Dunhill LC. It looks like he was successful!

    Dave J: Enabler/Jack Howell Bulldog

Dave loves sending me links to pipes that drive me nuts. I looked at this one for an afternoon, before the shape beguiled me enough to pull the trigger. The weight wasn't detailed, but I had a feeling it was larger than my usual. A ruler was shown for scale and I was hoping it would come in...

    NHL Playoffs

I did notice a lot of empty seats last night as well, and even more when it went into OT. Ugh, Pittsburgh stays alive. My wife asked me "how long does this continue?". I told her if the Pens get knocked out, I'll lose interest, us Caps fans have to be able to hate on someone! Well, they...

    GBD International 58440

Interesting, what is the COM mark?

    GBD International 58440

Can you post some pictures, including shots of the nomenclature? I've never seen a five-digit GBD. The 1930's era pipes frequently have a RXXXX shape stamp.

Author Challenge - Bruyere Extra Restoration

Despite the heavy cake and filthy shank, it smokes quite well. Of course it was soaked in alcohol for a period to remove the stain, so that usually does banish any ghosts. It's a tad heavy by my tastes, at 50 grams but the draw was perfect.

    A sad day in Blighty

That was really awful. I don't know how you prevent these kind of attacks, short of good intelligence and follow-up. I immediately thought of my little granddaughter and should she go to a concert one day. What a bunch of savages.

    NHL Playoffs

I just read that the game tonight in Ottawa is not sold out. Huh???

    NHL Playoffs

The Preds played strong, but I'm not sure they have the fire power to handle the Pens. I think the Sens are toast.

Author Challenge - Bruyere Extra Restoration

I've been fairly picky on my recent estate purchases and restorations, choosing pipes that didn't require a lot of effort. This one looked appealing shape-wise, but I knew it would present some challenges. I didn't find out much about this brand, as there are numerous makers who have used the...

The heartbreak of breaking a stem! (long)

That is one sounds that makes us all wince. I'll hope to see some pix of the new stem soon. On my last repair to Norwood, the pipe was delivered, he made the new stem and called me to let me know it was ready to ship all before USPS emailed me that it had been delivered to his shop.

    Finally: Comoy's 256 Author

Thanks, I'm usually pretty confident going into most restorations, but I was a bit nervous doing this one. One drop, or catch with the buffing wheel would have been a disaster, this one is pretty much irreplaceable. I smoked it this morning, with some MM965 of course. It smoked great, no...

    Finally: Comoy's 256 Author

The 499 was the first pipe on my "Holy Grail" list. It's actually a bit too large for my preference, but I'll never get rid of it.
