    It had to happen eventually

Im a bit nomadic at heart and enjoy moving. Forces you to pare down your belongings, taking stock with what belongings are worth taking to the next place. And you get to look at life and the world from a fresh place/perspective. Congratulations on your wifes new position and best of luck with...

    I miss lone coyote

I wonder too. He was a prolific poster there for a bit...and almost always had kind words to everyone. Maybe hes just too busy loading bowl after bowl of Storm Front.

    A sad day in Blighty

Very senseless acts of violence in England. I hope there is no more. Take a minute and Google Winston Churchill's thoughts on Islam written 70 years ago...he predicted much of what is happening now and was pretty spot on in his observations of that religion. Sorry I didnt post a link...

    Thoughts on Tsuge pipes?

Just wondering if any here have ever checked out Tsuge pipes, in particular the Roulette, Tankard or Blowfish (Smoking Pipes has them)? An interesting aesthetic and definitely a departure from traditional shapes. Lately I've been thinking they're kinda cool...especially the Roulette and Tankard...

    Replacing a dishwasher unit

Glad to hear you got it in. Good work. And its nice the way people graciously offered info on how to install it. I just spent 40 minutes washing dishes by hand...wonder what I could have been doing if I had a dishwasher? Playing guitar, smoking a pipe, eating and making more dishes. Just...

So what's your position on spiders?

I relocate them to outside. My method: Put a cup over it. Then, slide a piece of paper under the cup thus trapping it. Pick up cup keeping paper firmly in place and flip cup over. Go to window and dump out cup. Much like Arky I feel spiritually against killing living creatures without a just...

    There and back again

Many months ago I wrote about taking 12 students to Nepal for some volunteering and trekking in the Himalya. Proud to say I did it! And we all arrived back in one piece. What an adventure! We arrived and took in Kathmandu for a few days. Bought 500US worth of books and then 4x4'd them out to a...

    Replacing a dishwasher unit

Coming from a guy thats never had a dishwasher (they dont exist in Korea). How about just keep the dead unit where it is and use it as a tobacco cellar. Money you save from not replacing it spend on tobacco. Wash your dishes by hand. No joke...its what I would do. Cheers!

Hey BD Thats probably closer to you than you think. Its in Tswwassen not Vancouver. Tswwassen is about 90 mins south of Van...right on the US border. Not sure why they list it as Vancouver. Thats like calling Bellingham Seattle

    A condor moment

Good story! As a man of the cloth I guess he can only rely on the ready rubbed...ahem. Do you ever smoke Condor Stick? Don't think I ever heard you mention it but sounds like its readily available for you. To many its like a nectar of the gods.

    A guessing game

Im still trying to figure out what exactly "hand pressed" means. Isn't plug tobacco pressed under 100s of pounds of pressure for long periods of time. Mr. Larsen must be one strong dude to be able to do that...and get them so square no doubt.

    A guessing game

OW...very aromatic. I opened the bag and had a bowl last night before bed. Tin note....strong boozy smell and that unmistakable note that comes from black Cavendish. It immediately reminded me of my one and only foray into Peterson aromatics...Sunset Breeze. At this point I won't say it was...

    A guessing game

A friend just returned from a trip to Malaysia.   "Hey...picked you up some pipe tobacco in the duty free" he says.   I asked him what he picked up. "I dont remember the brand but its a white square tin.  Not Davidoff...those were round." So...Im wondering in my mind what he bought. Any...
