    “Dad Jokes”

What do cats eat for breakfast? Mice Krispies Why was the cheetah so bad at hide and seek? No matter where she hid she was always spotted. I'll let myself out now Jim

    The Spectacular Scintillating September Salvo

That seems to be typical of the media though. Anything that might be important gets glossed over and buried as quickly as possible. The prospects are more than most people can deal with so it gets as little coverage as they can manage. Jim

    TAD

Just got my order of Paddington and opened one up. Holy WOW! The intensity of the plum smell is much higher than any tin of Royal Yacht I've ever opened. Hopefully I'll get over the cold I've got soon so I can try this out and see if it lives up to the promise the tin note makes. It smells much...

    The Spectacular Scintillating September Salvo

I've seen those tapes. UAP's they're calling them so as to avoid having to use the dreaded UFO label lol. Jim

    Cheetos Popcorn

Huummm well that could be but I'm pretty sure they've reformulated the food more than a few time in the last 30 years. So I'm going to reserve judgement until I find a 30 year old bag to compare lol. Jim

    Cheetos Popcorn

Katie gets these at one of our convenience stores here. She likes them well enough. I can't comment on flavor though as I don't eat popcorn of any kind anymore. Zeno, I remember exactly what you're talking about. Doritos used to be a serious favorite now I hardly touch them because they just...

    pistolero's first resto.

Great job on the restoration and with an intact stinger too boot, that's a hell of a score for $15! Hope she provided you many hours of great smokes. Jim

    New Tires OMG

Zeno, I believe it has more to do with the tire size than inflation per say. I remember buying tires for a pick up truck back in 95, the best price for a decent tire I could find was $250/tire plus mount, balance and road hazard. They were LT 245/75R16. My dad had a little hatchback at the time...

    New Tires OMG

That's about right. I can't even begin to count the times I've pulled in turned off the ignition pulled the keys and never managed to get the door open. Wake up stiff and sore a couple hours later and realize its time to leave again.

    New Tires OMG

Yeah with that kind of mileage you'd think I would be going long distances all the time but honestly I rarely leave town. Jim

Have a couple tins of McConnell's Paddington coming also picked up a fair bit of St Andrews from my local B&M its a rather nice Scottish blend that she created on her own. Jim

    New Tires OMG

Rubber isn't cheap by any means! Replaced all 4 tires on an 03 Ford Escape with 235/70R16 and 50k mile treadwear warranty Toyo tires. Grand total was $895! The horrifying thing is these were mid range price wise but have better warranty than the $400/tire option. Really hate buying tires for...

Pipex 3 [change of look due to defects]

I certainly see what you're talking about now that you point it out. Perhaps a quick hit from a wire wheel would help even things out for you. Otherwise I think you might have to just start over on the rustication which honestly could be an even bigger disaster. I still think its a great...

Great article on smoking through to the end of the dottle

As always an interesting read. I certainly understand feeling duped after reading some supposed articles that are glorified ads. This one seems to be middle of the road but hey all things considered it could be much much worse. Jim

Pipex 3 [change of look due to defects]

Sid, sorry to hear you're not happy with the results. It looks like a real improvement over where you started though. Contrast staining can be a real bear to mess with. All I can suggest is to keep your eyes open you may find something that will give you the results you want in strange places. I...

Aged Opening Night is a real treat! I have a tin or two packed away somewhere to age. Probably should get more of this one in. Jim
