late to the party again.. a brochure i received with my servi meerscaum recommends cleaning the outer bowl with a clean cloth moistened with "a drop of after shave." or another product containing a small amount of alcohol. i always alcohol was a no-no but that's what the manufacturer itself...

here i go again...noted for her quality aromatics, try carol burns at pipeworks&wilke. lots of gpod reviews on tobaccoreviews.com when i'm in my aromatic mood, her honey-vanilla is superb. also excellent are her vermont maple blend and #515 (i think that's it), reputedly originally blended...

who has found that virginias, especially those without perique, burleys and/or kentuckys, are damned finicky smokes? viginia flakes even more so, in my admittedly limited experience, viriginias are inconsistent....packing, puffing, pipe choice are always wild cards.i have smoked the same...

well, here goes. for lots of reasons (arthritic fingers, general codginess, whatever) i've backed off flake virginias. i'm looking for straight (no perique, burley or whatever) viriginias in broken flake, shag cut, or other non-flake presentation i like old gowrie, for instance. lots of good...

well i drink bourbons ,american ryes and irish. haven't seen any references to tullamore dew, an excellent irish... smooth, tasty and expensive... but worth it if you lov e irish
