    Retiring an old friend

Thanks for the ideas! It never occurred to me that the gasket might be replaceable. It looks so "permanent". I will see if I can disect it and possibly replace the gasket - since it isn't working as it is. It was an awesome jar, and has stood watch over many lonely vigils with me. I'd love to...

    Retiring an old friend

I picked this tobacco jar up in the 1980's at a tobacco store in a Mall in Vegas. Had I known how well and how faithfully this jar would serve me, I would have bought more than one - actually that's not true. Back then I was usually pretty broke. Anyway, I thought I'd share for those who haven't...

    Crazy evening...

So true Rich. Brains get into every nook and cranny and they're almost impossible to get out of brick and mortar without a toothbrush. In all seriousness, do be careful my friend. In the event he was casing the place, now he knows you own firearms. Hopefully he was so whacked out that he won't...

    pipe filters

Florida is definitely a "challenging" place to keep anything lit. I was thinking of making a blend with a dash of Thermite in it just for the coastal market. Seriously though, Dutch nailed it. Smoke what you like amigo.

    Broken Flake # 7

That sounds interesting. I've never tried Lakeland, but I'm always on the lookout for blends that don't wrinkle the wife's nose. As the saying goes, "If she ain't happy, nobody's happy." I may have to try this - thanks!

    The Lady Cave

Missed this one the first time around. Since it's been such a long time it would be interesting to see an update (and if you broke down and got some pipe furniture!). Very nice display and being able to smoke in the living room is, in itself, enviable!

Some Food for Thought (Please Don't Thank Me for My Service)

I understand the sentiment, but has the "me" generation arrived at the point where they can look at someone who freely gave them their thanks and tell them it wasn't sincere enough for them? It seems the author may want to remember the the people he represented, while not pretending to...
