Alas, my favorite shirt is torn.

Gentlemen, I'm sure this has happened to a few of you time and again. You purchase a shirt and find yourself wearing it more and more. Even to the point that you notice 50% of all the photos people have of you happen to be wearing said shirt. Then one careless day you are working and catch a...

Tampers: love 'em, hate 'em or lose 'em

I have a few czech tools, one pipes shaped pipe tool and also i purchased Peterson's sherlock holmes heavy pewter tamper. The holmes tamper does work fantastically, and looks good by my pipes. Although working in the oil patch doesn't allow me to bring my nice pipe tamper so i use the butt end...

    Shape preferences, is this normal?

i know exactly what you mean! When i first got into pipe smoking and even just admiring the people who did it i always loved the bent shapes. so visually appealing with their old world charm. I knew i would love bent pipes...or so i thought turns out my first pipe was a small straight billiard...

    Churchwarden in public

I try and make it out into the public whenever i smoke so as to let people silently know there are a few people who will take the time to enjoy something. Also my B&M is located on the best people watching street in my city so i like to smoke out in front of it(5 meters from the entrance of...

Your first pipe: what, when and where?

i was 19, so that would be 2002, and i finally found a pipe that was simple enough and cost-effective that if i didn't like it i could toss it away. I found a little chacom "le flamme" for 17 bucks and i still have it today. first smoke in it was amphora aromatic.

    Canadian Post Lockout

Things were hairy here for a short while as one of my childhood friends is getting married labour day weekend and sent out the invitations prior to the strike. The worst part is the two getting married apparently live under a rock and had no idea this was going on and only learned about it when...

    What Are You Reading?

to tell you the truth i am enjoying the heck out of this series. Paced great but frustrating in the fact that the characters i grow to love get killed off! no character seems to be on the no-kill list.
