    Now I am a Master

I graduated with my MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary. I had to take some pics smoking in my regalia. " />

    Mac Baren's blends and honey.

They have a feature now where you can like/be friends with certain reviewers so their reviews pop up on top. I have a few smokers from this forum on my list. Re: number of smokes per tin, I think it'd be way higher than 10, but I never count. I also use smaller pipes and may pack lightly. I...

    JT - Brothers of Briar

Since my last post I've bought another tobacco lot from JT, and it was just as described and a great deal! What a guy!

The Official Gawith & Hoggarth Thread

Well, I don't think I'm old enough to be old-school since I'm not 30 yet. I definitely get your point, though. My question for you guys that use it geographically, do you use 'English' the same way in describing blends?

The Official Gawith & Hoggarth Thread

I know you qualified this part in a later post, but I wanted to pipe in and say that I actually prefer using lakeland as a style descriptor rather than a geographic one (as many use "English blend" to refer to latakia and oriental in a blend, not place of manufacture). I find it just a bit more...

Inquiry: Anyone interested in DUNHILL or GH&Co for $3/oz+s/h

You guys are welcome! I hope everyone enjoys what they got. I have a move coming up, so I won't have time to do another for a while. I'm not sure I'll be able to source for the same price anyway, but we'll see.

Dunhill BB (Baby's Bottom) 1938 My Mixture Pipe Tobacco

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. The copper chloride was the metal solution I mentioned. It has to be mixed with something else to get black, and I know some pipemakers have used a really strong tea. Then you can put different top stains over it if you want.

Dunhill BB (Baby's Bottom) 1938 My Mixture Pipe Tobacco

Tea also contains tanins. There's a contrast staining process used by some artisan pipe-makers that involves a chemical reaction with tanins and some sort of metal solution to create a black stain that isn't alcohol-soluble. That way you can sand back enough to get your grain-contrast, and...

My pleasure. Dave should get his today, and everyone else should have theirs tomorrow, if estimated deliveries are right!

    C&D Big and Burley #103

I have a feeling I'm not going to like OJK. I can hardly imagine Burleys less light and sweet than B&B. It makes me scared to crack that can now. The lat is definitely a condiment here, and really blends in to the earthiness of the burley. There's a lot more of it in Epiphany, for instance.

So I have everyone's order packaged, but someone decided to show up to buy some of our furniture we posted on Craigslest just as I was going to the PO. I'll send it out Monday!

Most stuff came in a second shipment, but D&B only ordered something from the first shipment. I may run nother one of these some time since there was so much interest.

Inquiry: Anyone interested in DUNHILL or GH&Co for $3/oz+s/h

We are now calling this done. I might try another in the future. Everyone will get what they asked for, and the rest I'll keep or sell in the trading post at the same price. If you're on the fence, grabbing another oz or two of another blend will help me out, since I cleaned out my PAD fund...

AND I just found out that I can get Nightcap, MM965, and EMP for the same price. Bosun Cut plug is also on the list. Does that bring anyone else on board?

The u/s is really good, but unavailable. BB#2 and Ennerdale are en route, and we've got enough BCF to grab if we can get some more interest in Brown Bogie.

Inquiry: Anyone interested in DUNHILL or GH&Co for $3/oz+s/h

Also, if any of you getting BB#2 want some more variety, maybe instead of another box of that, we could do a box of Brown Flake scented, which seems similar in tobacco content with a different topping. Just let me know!

Inquiry: Anyone interested in DUNHILL or GH&Co for $3/oz+s/h

Yeah 500g. It looks like BCF might be a go. I'm waiting to here back from Ozark Wizard who has expressed interest but hasn't told me what he wants. There might not be enough BB#2 to go around, depending on his interest, unless I should grab another box of that. Also, Brown Boggie is borderline...

Inquiry: Anyone interested in DUNHILL or GH&Co for $3/oz+s/h

We're a go on Ennerdale and BB#2 (I think there's enough to go around), so I'll be PM everyone when its in hand. I've had a little interest in Brown Boggie and Now BCF, but not enough yet to get either one of those. If I receive further interest Ill move forward with them as well. Thanks everyone!

Bob's choc flake, Rum Flake ($3.50), and Dark Plug U/S are also available. There is enough interest in BB#2 and Ennerdale, and nearly enough interest in Brown Bogie for me to grab that.
