I get about 10-12 shaves out of a blade. My beard is really thick so I go through blades pretty quickly. I could stretch it more but ingrown hairs become problematic when I have to use more pressure.

Stokkebye LTF. I think most Virginia blends will have at least a smidgen of Burley in them to keep the bite away. Or so I've heard. MacB Va. #1 has a reputation for smoking hot and biting so just be careful. It could give you an unfair opinion of Ginny weed if it's your only reference.

The SG I liked a little better than the GH personally. The GH tasted a little like Nestle Quick. Neither one was a mainstay in my rotation.

My experience has been that anything with Virginia tobacco in it does pretty well aging. Some people say the changes are sublime but I'm not a super taster or anything, so all I can say is it gets a little mellower and perhaps tastier with some age. Elizabethan Mixture would a great one to try...

I think a a lot of Savinellis are fitted for a balsa filter insert. I've been fond of the Savinellis I've had over the years. Good pipes.

I thought Uhle's was good choice for Burleys but Stokkebye was a little better with bulk Virginias and Vapers. Been a while, so things could have changed.
