    Minimum wage pipes

I like to brag a bit about how cheap I find things for, you should see my badass collection of thrift store blazers and ties. Each briar was less than a carton of Marlboros, but they're all special to me in a way. The search itself for good pipes at this price is hard and takes time, you know...

    Greetings

Welcome. Could I get to know a little more about you? Like, the meaning of your forum pseudonym? (out of pure curiousity, you know, nothing weird)

    Minimum wage pipes

Okay, I'm actually at a dollar above minimum wage and I live comfortably off of it. The point is that the percieved expense of pipe smoking seems to discourage some beginners. Indeed, it's seen as a rich man's habit when it's really the ideal poor man's smoke. I spend probably 70 cents a day...

    Pipe Smoking Perfected

Then it seems I've achieved some mastery for a pipeman of my youth. Began in 2001; teaching myself without even a book, charring my tongue, and using chapstick as a tamper. Glad I eventually broke down and started using the Internet. I've got two old pajamas with holes burnt in the krotch...

    Annual Christmas Cheer Toast

A Christmas blend? Never heard of this. Seems there are a few redeeming things about the holidays, I'll keep my scrooge commentary to a minimum. Now Valentine's Day, that's utterly worthless. And New Years.

Ok I am offically ticked off

Dutch may have the answer. I sometimes flush my sinuses, I've got bad ones and prone to infection.

    Theory: hydrating tobacco with whiskey

Skip, thanks for the tip about Copenhagen. I sometimes like to dip at work, been thinking of switching to chewing tobacco. Tobacco helps a guy work, but conventional wisdom is just lost on management. People are so ignorant.

    Jumping on the Burley Bandwagon!

Glad you saw the light. PA is a must for the burley smoker, it's just an honest, dependable, satisfying smoke. If you go for PA, don't bother unless it's crimp cut and don't settle for a pouch. Get yourself a canister, it's more moist and tastes better. For Carter, I recommend smoking it...

    Theory: hydrating tobacco with whiskey

Sixteen days after packing my bourbon PA into a jar, I'm smoking my first bowl. Not bad. It's got a round, rich flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The tobacco itself smells like a homemade whiskey cake. Very nice, pleasant, satisfying flavor. This being my first bowl, I can't give an...

    Cigarette Smokers Actions

I sort of find it comforting to see litter on the street, maybe it reminds me of the part of town I grew up in. Hell, I'll litter anywhere. If they don't like it, how about they pay someone to clean it up, a lot of people could use the work. That's why THEY say "don't mess with Texas."

    Seals for tobacco jars

Right, Skip, makes good sense. Plus which I suck at making anything but my meals.

    Cigarette Smokers Actions

Well, damn, everybody is always getting lumped in with somebody. People never will notice anything or make rational conclusions. No offense intended, but I could just laugh at the thought (not to put words in your mouth) that in any paralell universe people might actually pull their heads out...

    Seals for tobacco jars

Thanks, y'all. I best get to work once I get paid. Such a shame to see that nice jar going to waste.

    New guy from Alaska!

Welcome, Patrick. Don't worry about being a broke ass pipe smoker, look at what these cigarette smokers are paying. Pipe smoking can just as easily be a poor man's hobby.
