    Just curious???

Easy: SPC's Plum Pudding and McClelland's 3 Oaks Syrian. I imagine both will be nixed.

    Seven Day Set, or sets.

I can't say I have a 7-day set from a particular maker. I probably have 7 pipes of similar shape (most likely of the Rhodesian/Bulldog variety). Maybe I'll shoot Pietenpauw an e-mail. I have 2 of his already, perhaps 5 more are in order.

    R.I.P. Fatman (10-26-1962) to (10-11-2016)

I thought this was for real when I saw the title. Sadness crept over me as I opened it. Then, POW! I realized it was a joke about the bombing. Geez, man.

    The New Bengal Slices

I recently, somewhere (though I cannot remember), saw a chart of Bengal Slice's history, which is directly linked with Balkan Sobranie and Penzance. Edit: Found it.

    Most Over Rated Tobaccos

I simply disagree about all the Esoterica stuff. There's not one I haven't liked. They're all superbly made and of superior quality. Every Dunhill blend is overrated in my opinion.

The Official BoB 2016 Pipe of the Year thread.

I just want to point out, and this is not necessarily in relation to PB's post, that Chris Askwith has some nice looking Falcon bowls. I'm sure, if you so wished, you could contact him to make you a smooth Olivewood, Morta, or Briar. They're reasonably priced too, at least in my opinion.

The Official BoB 2016 Pipe of the Year thread.

True, but to have it then shipped to someone I know in the USA (my parents, let's say) and have them inspect something they know nothing about or to have it then shipped to me here in Kenya, which would most likely be confiscated by customs for some unbeknownst reason, is a bit out of my wheel...

The Official BoB 2016 Pipe of the Year thread.

I'd love to participate, but, alas, I am not Stateside to do all of this. I look forward to seeing the results nonetheless. Also, I've never, ever seen a Falcon that is red or green like the ones in Blackhorse's photo. I could really go for that red one, for sure.

Stonehaven 2oz Tins - Apparently they ARE legit??

It's genuine. Most retailers seem to think they are "prototypes" to test the waters. I suspect the next shipment will have better labels.

Stonehaven 2oz Tins - Apparently they ARE legit??

It is possible they are attempting to sell Stonehaven more in tins than bags to make a bigger profit perhaps? The tins are legit, for sure, but it does look a bit rushed. I'm not sure how packaging Stonehaven in tins deals with the FDA stuff, especially since Stonehaven shouldn't be under...

    Mac Baren ODF?

I believe Vintage Syrian is the only one safe.

    Mac Baren ODF?

It is. It came out mid-2012.

    2016 POTY

I'd love to jump in. I'll watch from afar for the time being though, as I doubt I can commit any amount of cash for something I don't "need." Occupation dictates such.

    Your favorite comic strips?

Calvin and Hobbes, seeing as my computer background is Calvin and Hobbes glancing at the night sky.

More on the new FDA regulations.

http://pipesmagazine.com/blog/tobacco-policies-legislation/new-fda-regulations-how-do-they-impact-the-pipe-world/ An interesting article that paints a bleak picture for the upcoming regulations.

    post 2007 tobacco

Someone is footing the bill for this type of regulation (*cough* big tobacco *cough*), meaning it is utter ********. The regulation of EACH individual pipe is beyond ridiculous and unfathomable. I'd love to see someone with big pockets foot the bill for this type of thing just so the FDA is...

    post 2007 tobacco

I have, indeed, begun to compile a list. I posted my findings here, but here is the link to the list in question: Post 2007 Tobacco List. I plan on updating it even more in the coming weeks with C&D, Dunhill, Rattrays, and others once I return to Kenya. The original list I posted was left open...

    Standard Tobacco Company News.

Or... we see a massive "out-of-stock" phenomena occur soon and fast.

    Standard Tobacco Company News.

Then, if I'm understanding you correctly, STP's post would indicate sales haven't been what they expected; thus, they will not produce another batch because of their fear to have overstock?

    Standard Tobacco Company News.

:( :x :fpalm: Both of those posts make no sense to me. Everything I've read about the FDA regulations, including the regulations themselves, point to a 2-year grace period for blends introduced before the installing of the regulations. This is why I'm also confused about P&C's notes and...
