I recently won an eBay billiard for, I think a cheap price.

I really liked this particular shape and bid on a whim. I was going to reserve this for penzance and royal blend, until I got it in the mail today...

It's HUGE!!! This is a hefty billiard. I LOVE the shape, but the size is a big issue. I already have a big bowl pipe for english blends and this is just a whopper.

I really don't know what to do. I like it, but it's too big. I can't return it. There wasn't any cake but I went ahead and started cleaning, S&A treatment. Is this something that someone here would buy being a no name?

Thanks all

Wow, what a dilemma! 8)
Hey I wasn't expecting it to be that big!!! I'm sure it would be a GREAT dilemma to have for some, but my OCD can't figure out where to put this pipe!

Well, it does look like a large pipe.
If it was a bargain, you might just put it aside and wait awhile.
Pipers often have shifting tastes, and what does not seem desirable now, may just be what you need
in the future, as that has been my experience, sometimes regretfully.
It's a long haul, not a drag race... 8)

The above is a good piece of advice as it does look to be a nice example of this classic shape !! Besides, one needs a BIG example of the shape in their collection for those nice loooong evenings by the fire

Smoke some Royal Blend in it, then decide whether or ot it's too big.

It ain't that big. Hang on to it and smoke it once in a while. I might just be a great pipe. Also as you go along, it's nice to have an "everything" pipe for trying new blends without ghosting a dedicated pipe.

I have to agree for that price I would stick it aside for a bit. I have a couple of billiards that were to big in my opinion. I would smoke them but they were always a last resort kind of oh well might as well smoke the Duca Carlo as it is collecting dust. But I have now found a use for them and love getting a 1 to 1.5 hour smoke out of them for the start of the work day.

That's only a smidgeon over 6 inches long.

As the Actress said to the Bishop..........

Allyby just stop it. :lol!:

Anyhow, the pipe's a bit bigger than I'd smoke, that's for sure. Gotta watch listings, ask questions beforehand.

If you simply can't stand having the pipe in your presence, contact "The Purple Gorilla" here on the forum, he's a buddy of mine, know him locally, he's obsessed with massive pipes. Of course, with corresponding jokes on him to go with 'em. I'm pretty sure he'd pay what you paid for that pipe, which wasn't a bank-breaker.

I'm posting it up for sale later today. I already have deep bowl pipes and this was an unexpected and uneccessary addition.

I'll post it on the site trading post. I paid $26 so that's what I'll ask for it.
