If the stem has a splice, I don't see it - damn hard to get a straight stem that long. Good luck bidding.

I looked and looked at the photos and could not detect one either. That must have been one crazy large chunk of briar. I think I will send a message to the seller to ask.

Nice! If you're clever, you can just sit by a window and smoke that pipe inside, regardless of rules or weather.

Just emailed the seller re: the point which Buddy Springman brought up; he replied:

"HI, you are right, it is one long piece of wood, no splice, regards".

So, that is indeed something to behold.

Nice! That is the longest shank I've seen, I believe. Too cool!

If you win the pipe just stick it out the window to the west and I will light it for you :)

If that pipe is used it looks to be in great condition and that it is a single piece of briar is stunning.

Just gave that pipe a second good look - seeing all the nice touches, the brand name, and the uniqueness I will bet the end price is in the 300 to 500 range :(

Don't have any idea what's it's actually worth - any experts around?

That is awesome. I wonder how many tries it took him to make one like that?? It's pretty difficult to get a regular size pipe to come out flawless, but this spectacular. Geez, if that thing hits the floor though.... its arivaderci Radice.

If you're in the northern U.S. and stick it out of the north window when smoking, it will be a real Canadian!

I just realized the seller lives 20-minutes from me. I may have to email him and see if he'll let me root through his pipes for a discount. muahahahahahaha!

It's a Radice, Luigi is one cool Italian fellow. Seeing the name is enough for me, I knew it was one piece. Every once in while he make some wild monstrosity, but I'd bet the pipe is still a great smoker. I have a couple of his pipes, and they are great.
