Just copying pictures of real pipe carver's work. It's like when I fly fish, bring tying stuff to 'match the hatch'. It was also my first foray into actual briar. Thought I would start with a basic shape... The pipe burns tobacco the same as most other pipes do. The straight one I did make from rod stock. The bent one is a prefab from Missouri Meerschaum. Reasonably finished, just took a bit of work to gloss it up and take the casting edges off.
