This Ropp is very different to me as I've not seen another quite like it. The bowl is sideways, the top portion retains the Cherry Wood Bark, the rest of the pipe is smooth and it has a diamond shape shank and Saddle stem, the model is Supreme but no numbers as to what the shape is. Keeping it smokey with some Villiager 1888 After Dinner.

Well dang me!!! I gotz one of those also. Ropp in an oval over Supreme over made in france. Great smoking pipe. I use it mainly for my "near' aromatics...Troost Slices, Bob's Choc. Flake, The Mayor's Choc. Flake, etc. Lookin' good, sir!!! FTRPLT

BTW... Where do you find these pipes these days?? Haven't seen one anywhere in forever!

I got this at a yard sale for $2.00, saw it was Cherry but very surprised it was a Ropp having only seen the Cherrywood variety, so I grabbed it.

I had two of those; one with a diamond shank as pictured, another with a round shank, both with saddle bits. I sold them as a pair on ebay a few years back when I was thinning the herd.

I'm always drawn to the unconventional designs. Thanks for sharing this with us.
