nuA cool tradition...in addition to kids getting me a little something for Father's Day...I get to pick up a few items of my own.

I like pellet guns. Prior to FDay I had three...

1. a nice CO2 rifle - Hammerli 850 (.22 cal)

2. a Berman P17 - single shot, single pump

3. a top break CO2 pistol that opens like an old Webly...8 shot double or single action.

(can't find a pic)

So for Father's Day I grabbed two new single shot pistols... both .22 cal. Both classic, both Crosman, one is the 1322 multi pump pneumatic...the other is the 2240 CO2.

I'm thinking this Summer is going to be pretty fun, getting 'em dialed in & accessories!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Cool air pistols. I need to get my bolt action .22 dialed in. Gots me an nuisance coon that needs to be gotten rid of and my 1911 .45 is a bit much for that when it is late at night.

Yeah, depending on where you live even discharging that .45 might get you in deep doo doo. My "serious" pistol is a Springfield Armory XP in .40 S&W. If I shot that here in town I'd have bluebottles crawlin' ALL over the place...probley SWAT guys coming down ropes outta choppers...drones zooming all through the hedgerows!

But we have coons and possums and skunks all over out here. Some of the coons are as big as a German Shepard! I wouldn't shoot 'em with a pellet pistol...wounded, they'd crawl up into someplace to die...and OMG they stink...and the flies!!! Nasty.

I'd trap 'em. Or I'd use my rifle on 'em. I've shot plenty if Gophers with that rifle...it's death in the field, and fast enough that it makes a hollow point open up right. A pistol doesn't shoot fast enough.
