I got an email from Alan Stevenson. As soon as the weather warms up he'll get some more briar and start whittlin' some puffers. For those that have one or more of Alan's hand made pipes, I don't need to tell you how good they are. But for those of you who are unfamiliar with them, they're the finest smoking pipe you'll ever find in the 80-100 USD price range. Hand cut stems and all.

I have two and I can hardly wait to have him carve my third.

You would have to purchase them directly from him as there are currently no retail sites that sell them. He is currently waiting on some briar from Italy that should arrive by spring, which is when he will again start carving. He can be contacted at: [email protected]
