woke up to 9 degrees, snow on the ground, last night it was 5 degrees amazzzzzzing love it yay.

I used to love the cold weather and the snow. Especially when I was in N.H. But, that was when I was in my 20's. I'm 68 now and you can keep the cold. BRRRRRR! With all the blood thinner crap I'm on, I can't even warm up in summertime!

If the good lord had intended us to live in these kind of conditions we would have been born with fur not buck nekked! It's getting colder hear in Texas so I'm learning Spanish for when I move further south !

god gave us the ability to put pants on our butt animals cant. there is something sobering about walking out into a cold day. and nothing more awsome than seeing the steam rise off the cattle in the field its almost magical.

Arkey while I agree in theory that you can always put on more clothes to stay warm and that there is only so much clothing you can take off and not get arrested to stay cool I really can’t take the cold as Well as I used too. By all means though you go out and enjoy the hell out of it. I know where I lived in Texas it was at least a decade between snow storms. I myself will stay in and tend the fire and the coffee pot.

It was 16 degrees here in Maryland yesterday, which isn't surprising.

What was surprising is that my daughter called me from New Orleans - it was 16 degrees there and their water pipes were frozen!

I asked her to send me picture of her water service line. It was a copper pipe, coming out of the ground, into a spigot style shut off on the side of the house (new home, $400k) It has a thin sleeve of insulation tube on it and it was frozen, shocker! I had her hit it with a heat strip gun and that freed it up. I told her husband later to wrap it with thicker insulation and zip tie it in place. I'll check it out when we are down there in a few weeks. I laughed when I saw the picture of the bare water line.

As someone who loathes hot weather I kind of like cold, if it's a "clean" cold. I don't really care how cold it gets, as such. It's just that what accompanies it is so nasty, scary at times, and destructive to your motor vehicle. Having to deal with snow every day, digging out your car, driving blind, morons driving 12 miles an hour or coming at you sliding sideways out of control, all while the road salt eats hell out of the body of your car, in a word, sucks. It almost makes me prefer hot weather with its appalling humidity, bugs, and men wearing sandals and armpit shirts. But not quite. Needless to say, my preferred seasons are spring and fall.

pluss i have to have cold weatger to grow my wheat to make flour to make fresh bread might be that to lol

Just crazy swings in temperature in the mid-atlantic states. 2 weeks of teens and snow however the last few days we've been in the 60's.
