This old fella has been around the block quite a few years and it has all the knocks to show for it. When I got it the sticker of who made it and nearly all of the filler in the bottom was gone, the shank was afloat and it needed some serious rehabilitation.
I took my time using thin layers of filler allowing each layer to dry for at least a week then I made some light fills where there was separation between the kernels and finally the shank was glued into place with some filler around it where it meets the bowl. The bone stem has a nearly brown patina from years of smoking, while I have no idea who made it or how old it is I really enjoy smoking it. Of course I'm keeping it smokey with more Orlik Golden Sliced.
