Betting the Darby smokes really well if has been so abused, someone really liked to smoke that pipe.

Okay, that's all of them. Looking forward to hearing how good or bad I did. And any ideas on replacing that Darby stem? Who's got a Darby with a burned out bowl sitting around? lol.

Worth the price just for the Kaywoodie, and a deal then. American Pickers might benefit from your antique acumen. I'd certainly try the hickory, it's a dense hardwood, it shouldn't char easily, might smoke hot though. Dense materials transfer more heat.

I agree with Timbo, someone really loved that Darby, that was someone's work-a-day pipe or days-end pipe.

Number 3 is a Jost's Thames pipe, Made in England, marked J185. Turns out Jost's was a St Louis Pipe and Tobacco shop that closed in the 90's. This is another one I really like the look and feel of.

Just wanted to point out that Jost's Thames pipes are Comoy's.
