I purchased a strange freehand John Lakatosh pipe recently and was wondering if ANYONE
had anymore info on him and or his pipes then Pipedia has?
It only states where he made pipes and that he passed in 1990.
Anybody else own one? Any info regarding him and or his pipes is greatly appreciated. ;)

I had two. I have since sold both.
Not a big deal, average smokers........

Thanks Sean, I bought it just because I liked the looks of it and it seemed like a decent price. Probably won't even get around to smoking it any time soon anyway but, like to know more about the man if anyone knows.

Thanks again Sean, the seller took the info directly from Pipedia.
Oh well, he seem to be a fairly accomplished carver that never really made it very
far, maybe just a hobbyist.
The pipe might not be very special but, for me to possess the pipe
that a person made and have pass on now is something special to me for some reason.
I have a couple of pipes that are from not well known carvers that have passed on
and I feel an attachment to them just for that and couldn't sell them without feeling as though I step on there graves or forsaken them in some way. Maybe I just feel they need
to be remembered for what they have created.
Yes, I know weird to say the least.

NOTHING weird about that Ron. I have many pipes for the same reason. Sentimentality is a wonderful thing.
