GBD 1936 V-Lovatt New Standard.
Looks in Good Condition.
Friend wants 50.00 to let me have it.

Is it worth it? What do Ya think?

Saw one go on ebay a while ago for a tiny bit more than that. Not sure if that helps you at all.

Assuming that 1936 is the year it was born, I would probably take it if it is in good condition. That is mostly just because I personally like really old pipes though.

It supposedly belonged to his father and his father passed in 1983 at 75 yrs of age.
I guess it could be that old. Now if it is that old will i smoke it? I did bought it so now i will probably try it. Don't like to have many things i can't use. just weird like that i think.

You better smoke it! Or give it to me. I have a 1930's pipe...a BBB. I smoke it once or twice a week usually. As long as it is in good shape and you take care of it, you should be able to smoke the crap out of it just like any other pipe

I wish I was computer literate enough to get a picture from my cell phone onto here but I'm not! If I can figure it out i will. It is straight and looks like a Dublin shape bowl about 1.5 deep and 2 inches across top of bowl and the length is 5.5 inches long.
Since you said smoke it. I put some stuff my local tobacco store mans sell me called 10 Downing street in it and am now smoking it, Yep I feel like I'll enjoy the pleasure and forget the worry.

Not harrasing you or anything, but if you take a picture with your phone you can usually send a picture/text message directly to your e-mail address, it usually doesn't have to be a phone number. Just an FYI, you know? I like to be helpfull on those extremely rare occasions when I might possibly have something that may possibly be usefull to someone someday.
