I'm getting bitten again! I wanted a long pipe but not quite a churchwarden. I absolutely love the look of the smooth Clark's Favorite on smokingpipes but I don't know anyone who owns or has smoked one.

Can anyone here sway me one way or the other?

That is a beautiful pipe, I own more than a few Savinelli pipes and they all smoke great. I will say I do not have that pipe but IMHO you can't go wrong with a Savinelli.
Best Regards
Richard

szyzk,

If all you're looking for is that final "nudge" to get you to pull the trigger...

DO IT!

I agree with Richard, Savinelli pipes are great smokers.

If I remember my Savinelli "shape lore" correctly, the one you're looking at is named in honor of Clark Gable (as Bing's Favorite is named in honor of Bing Crosby and cheesy golf logos). Frankly, I don't give a...

Both models present an interesting long-stemmed alternative to a full-blown churchwarden and, if they smoke in keeping with the rest of the offerings from Savinelli, you'll be in pipe heaven.

*shrug*

I'd buy it, I'd smoke it; I like "semi-wardens." Good reading pipe. 8)

No need to hesitate.

I own a couple that are similar in length, not really churchwardens, but longer than normal. I like them when the stem is just over 5 1/2", as a standard 6" pipe-cleaner can be used.

Alright, alright, this is on my next order.

You guys are a tough crowd. So pushy.

Here's another one. I like the black rustication. Not so sure about the black & white stem. Thoughts anyone?

I would definitely be all for that if the stem featured more of a wispy smoke design, rather than cow spots!
