Beating the rain

With the outside feeling like it will rain sooner rather than later I'm taking the opportunity to have the last bamboo of the day. By Japanese Pipemaker Ichi Katahara comes this lovely grained pinched Dublin with brown bamboo shank and keeping it smokey is Orlik Golden Sliced. There are cobs waiting in the wings.

Beautiful pipe, Banjo!  And what a collection of bamboo you've got!  Obviously a labor of love over many years.  Love to see all of the beauties in your collection, and it is evident that they don't just sit on a shelf.  Keep the photos coming as I am really enjoying watching you "keep it smokey".
