I love the beauty of wood, guess that’s part of why I got into pipe smoking.
I know many brothers have an affinity for wood and I would like to open up replies for pictures anyone wants to share of anything wood. Anything at all like the picture I found online or pictures of your own wood projects. :cheers:

Two tone color kind of looks like cedar, but cedar doesn't have that rippling grain. What kind of woods is that?

Had to go back and do some research on this. From what I can gather its Bubinga wood.

That piece is beautiful. There is a shop not far from me that specialises in driftwood and local wood crafts, I'll have to ask if they mind me taking pictures of their stuff, you guys might like it. Has anyone else seen the sons of anarchy club table? Its a carved slice of redwood, looks amazing.

Pomelle Bubinga. I've seen some very expensive basses made from this wood.

I had to look up the Sons of Anarchy table so I could remember. It is an amazing example of beautiful wood and the amazing work of a skilled carver. 8)

I found that out as I was researching more into this. I had to call a friend with an amazing bass and ask him what wood his bass is made out of and he said "Bubinga, that’s why it looks like rippling water"
