I know the title is like really we all buy new pipes but this has a different twist to it. I was scoping out pipes on Ebay and came across a pipe from the William Demuth Company. I then researched the maker of the pipe and realized that William Demuth was a Great Uncle to me. My Mom's dad was Williams brother.

Hey, That's great. Now lets see the pipe. ;)
I have a few WDC's and all are great pipes, they really have some history behind them and made all kinds of pipes from the early days till I think some where till the 60's if I'm not mistaken. And of course there most known to most for the large and medium sized Wellington pipes with the P-Lip stem.

I will get the pipe on Monday of next week. Once I have it I will post it.

I wandered into Demuth's shop once back in the '80s. Lancaster, PA, right? Strange place, no one there at first, seemed haunted. Then an older guy came out and proceeded to regale me with stories about William (?) being an artist, among other things. That's all I remember. Had no idea of the place's history at the time.

Own a vey old, long-stemmed bulldog with a horn Gloklar (?) stem (somewhat large button with round hole). Smokes burleys & Ginnyweeds to perfection :) FTRPLT

Cool story. Like Cart, I'm eager to see the pipe too, though. :bounce:
